The Central Kansas Flywheels Yesteryear Museum would like to take this opportunity to promote our “Exploring Yesterday for Youth”. This event is open to school children along with their educators. We encourage educators from the surrounding counties and within Salina to arrange to have their classes attend this event.
Our organization is uniquely qualified to stage hands-on demonstrations for your students. Experienced demonstrators will encourage participation of students while speaking on the importance of, and skill sets used, as it pertains to their particular demonstration.
Demonstrations include but not limited to:
- One-Room School House
- Wheat Weaving
- Cow Milking
- Tractors & Implements
- Rope Making
- Corn Shelling
- Wheat Grinding
- Broom Making
- Sawmill
- Chuck Wagon & Clothes Washing
- Cider Press
- Spinning
We are happy to provide this educational opportunity free of charge. We only ask that the students provide a sack lunch.
